Wow, what a weekend for sport, and in particular Marathon Running.

Eluid Kipchoge broke the 2 hour barrier for the Marathon, that’s a fantastic achievement and was a pleasure to watch….

On the next day Brigid Kosgei set a new women’s world record at the Chicago Marathon crossing the finishing line in 2:14:04, breaking Paula Radcliffe’s record set 16 years ago, way back in 2003.

Surely we can’t help but be inspired?

So it’s your turn now, let’s get out there and achieve our own personal bests. Come join us at the 13th edition of the Poppy Half Marathon, but if the 13.1 miles is a little beyond you we have the 10k and 5k.

There are only 90 places left in the Half Marathon, and when they are gone we will be closing entries for that distance, so don’t delay ..

Into the final month now, it would be interesting to know how many past Poppy half marathons you guys have run over the years, anybody out there run all 13 ??

Please do message on FB or email me, would be great to hear from any of our past participants …

We are always looking for your personal stories, why you are running etc would love to hear from you with your journey and goals, use the email below or message me on FB.

Keep up the good work with the training, stay injury free and I will see you on the start line.
